COMPARISONS between the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle’s public wardrobes are inevitable. Today, in London arriving at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, the pair have proved that while their personal style clearly differs, when it comes to staples they’re not all that different.
The Duchess – in a navy Beulah London coat and wide-brim hat – and Meghan – in a soft cream coat and hat – teamed their outfits with the same style of shoe: sensible, navy, suede courts. While evidently not the same design, it’s clear that the pair, who, today, made their second joint public appearance together with Princes William and Harry, do have style similarities after all. Both opting for London-based brands, the Duchess chose a favourite pair by Rupert Sanderson, whilst Meghan’s shoe came courtesy of Manolo Blahnik.
