Trains cancelled as anti-Isis protesters storm tracks at Manchester Piccadilly Station

The protest was against the arming of Islamic State terrorists  All trains in and out of Manchester Piccadilly Station have been cancelled after protesters were seen standing on tracks. Photos posted on social media appeared to show men, women and children waving flags banners.

It wrote on Twitter: “Manchester Piccadilly has been been closed until further notice. ‘Train services running to and from this station may be cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Stockport.’ Disruption is expected to last until around 4.30pm,

National Rail has said. British Transport Police wrote on Twitter: ‘Officers are on the scene @NetworkRailMAN responding to an ongoing trespass incident. The station is closed. More info when we have it.
